When do comics enter the public domain?
« on: March 02, 2014, 04:04:49 PM »
Is there a hard and fast rule on this? I don't know if it matters, but I'm referring to Sunday comics. My ambition is to publish a collection of strips, either "Mitzi McCoy" (1948-1950) or "Kevin the Bold" (1950-1968).

Thanks

Any Sunday Comics fans out there?
Someday I'll publish a collection of "Kevin the Bold" or "Mitzi McCoy"

Newspaper strips are a very tough nut to crack as JohnC explains here -

Good luck in your project,
