Uploaded from Titiansfan collection Marmaduke Mouse 38.  Some minor damage to last story in book. All stories appear to be complete, missing (?) two pages, only 34 scan pages. Could be missing text and/or ad pages.

Uploaded Life Story #10 from the JVJ collection and scans by Rangerhouse. Sorry to take so long, but I wanted to correct some of the damaged pages in the Wally Wood story. Squaring off the pages and removing some of the stains took more time than I anticipated.

Kudos to Rangerhouse for scanning the pages, they appeared to be brittle and delicate. I'm sure they wouldn't have survived a “standard” scanner.

I'm not the best at spotting artist, but the women in the last story ,“Foolish Obsession”, look like they could have been drawn by Wood.  However, it could be some good swipes by another artist or the story could have been finished by another artist.   The opening splash page, page 9 first and last panel, and a few poses throughout the story look like classic Wood, but the rest of the art in the story doesn't  :-/

Checking Jerry Bails Who's Who website, I found that Life Story was a book Wood worked on.   Wally Wood was noted for being slow and meticulous in his artwork and this could have been a layout by him and finished by a house artist or it could just be a good imitation.  I thought I would try and clean up the pages for a better look.  The GCD didn't have any information on this issue. Open for suggestions  :D

Hi CB,
I'm no expert either and the terrible print job certainly doesn't help either.  But I'm leaning towards Wood swipes more than pure Wood.
It's be nice if someone else could voice an opinion.

Hi Yoc,
I would agree, the first panel on page 9 of the story sparks a memory of a Wood story, but I can't place it. I know there are Wood checklist on the net, I'll see if I can find a reference. Love the research  ;)

Uploaded another Sweet Sixteen (#10) from the Parents Magazine group. Scans by Soothsayr.

Any idea who the artist for the DORTHY DARE - Queen of Hollywood Stunt Artists may be?

Thank you Gentlemen for your work on these. CB I don't know the answer to that, JVJ might be able to answer it though for you.

Just uploaded, three Girls Fun and Fashion Magazine (issues # 46 to # 48) , a continuation of the Polly Pigtails magazine.  Thanks to Sooth for a great scanning job, it made the edits a lot easier.

Primarily a girls magazine with a  few comic stories, including the Polly Pigtails comic, celebrity profiles  and a “ Life of Jack Benny” comic ( for those old enough to remember radio ;)  An interesting look into the world of  pre teens of the 1950s.

Wow! I never knew that there was a Jack Benny comic!!! Was this a regular feature or a one issue story?

I LOVE Jack! Had I been born when I was due, we would have shared the same birthday. I always tell people (or at least those old enough to get the joke) that I'm a proud graduate of the "Jack Benny School of Finance!"
