Thanks for the warm welcome. DCM is a fantastic project and I hope I can help with any needed scans. I've collected comics since the early 1960s and have a special interest in Science Fiction from the 1950s era, especially Tom Corbett Space Cadet. I still have a lot of questions but I can see that there is a lot of support and dedication here.  I will do my best to provide what is needed for DCM. and thanks again for providing such a fantastic "gold mine" of classic panel literature.

I've uploaded a revised Tom Corbett March of Comics 102 (Dell) scan and forgot to include the information below from the original scan.:
Original info: MOC 102 -  Scans-Bucket Head, Uploader - Prime User

Sorry, I meant no slight to the original scanners. I'm still learning my way around. I also upload issue #34 of Quality's Marmaduke Mouse.  I tried several scanning settings for a brighter scan of the artwork. I tested the file on my Android Razr and was pleased with the look. I'm always open for instruction  :) Thanks

Lance O'Casey Upload & Question on Comic Reader
« Reply #6 on: January 02, 2013, 06:15:20 PM »
Just uploaded a Lance O'Casey comic from Fawcett with some interesting Marvel Family collectibles. I've added some thumbnails to see how they look, I hope they came out ok.

A question: I found an excellent comic reader App for my Android Razr called "Comic Rack". So far it has worked out well, although it appears to still be in Beta format.  The paid version works with the Windows version to sync comics between the Android and the PC.  It is bundled with an open source zip program called 7Zip.  Has anyone else used these programs and what is there experience?

Sorry CB, your upload didn't make it to us.
:(
I haven't tried those apps either.  Anyone else?

First Romance Magazine upload
« Reply #10 on: January 10, 2013, 09:39:16 AM »
Just uploaded First Romance Magazine # 43 - December 1956 .  The book was very brittle and yellow aged.  Instead of a scanner I shot the pages using a Cannon Rebel digital camera.

This issue seems to have an variety of different art styles.  Maybe swipes or filler work by established artist. Not sure, but some of the artwork looks very familiar. Any ideas or do I see some good swipes? :)

"Bitter Honeymoon" -  Johnny Craig?
"Trouble in July" -  Carmine Infantino?
"Heartbreak Flight" - George Wunder?
