Anyone know who did the art? |

At least for one of the pages. The opening black and white page is by the artist that John Vadenoncoeur Jr. once identified als Clem Weisbeckr. Only, I don't think that was him and I did a whole post about it on my blog, here: https://allthingsger.blogspot.com/2013/05/curious-clem-saturday-leftover-day.html. The real artist I think is Josh Benton, who is best know for doing a Li'l Abner imitation newspaper strip in the late forties set in Colonial times and called Jasper Jooks. He also did some signed work for the American Air Force Features tabloid and I show all the visual evidence in my blog post. The first and last story seem to me very much like the work Ernie Schroeder did for G.I. Joe, possibly with a different inker. But I am not really well versed enough in Fawcett artists to make that claim with full confidence. |
