||Office worker Joan takes her vacation at fancy Manor Lodge, hoping to find a rich husband. On the train, she meets Hal and they hit it off, but he’s “only an insurance agent” and she wants more. At the lodge, she makes a play for wealthy Poynton, then discovers Hal is working at the resort for the summer. Hal criticises Joan for her mercenary attitude and she eventually decides he is right: she loves him, not Poynton.
