Vickie offers Vic the chance to have an affair but he rejects her, and Morgan finds a mistress. Vickie realises she's been a "blind, greedy fool!"

Becoming Steve's assistant, she does the same thing and takes his job. Ruby romances John, the head of the firm, then secretly buys stock and takes over the company. Too late, Ruby realises no man would love her for herself, because that would be "loving the power-mad, ruthless, scheming person I had become!"
