Comic Story (7 pages) Love Was My Co-Pilot
Synopsis: Bush pilot Della flies archaeologist Derek to the Arctic Circle, where he makes an exciting discovery. Della falls in love with Derek but learns he’s engaged to Anne. Anne steals Derek’s notes and leaves in her plane, but crashes. Della and Derek rescue Anne, who confesses her perfidy. Derek says Della is now the woman he loves.

Ellen is ashamed to reconcile with Dan, so she leaves town and becomes a waitress under an assumed name. Her agent Max finds her and reunites her with Dan.

Synopsis: Roberta gets a teaching job in a small town but chafes under the strict rules of behaviour required. She is attracted to principal Arnold, but he’s afraid of losing his job so she dates Tom to make him jealous. When Roberta is spotted with a man, Arnold, to save her job, says she was with him. Arnold is fired instead, but he’s not downhearted: now he can openly admit he loves Roberta.
