Synopsis: |
Sheila, clerk in the clipping “morgue” of a newspaper, wants to be a reporter. She repeatedly copies confidential government information entrusted to her boyfriend Carter and gives it to her editor, even though she knows it’s unethical. Carter is arrested and fired from his job as a result. Sheila gets a reporter’s job but quits when she learns Carter has fallen seriously ill due to his disgrace. She pays for his medical treatment. Carter recovers and marries his nurse Marian. The repentant Sheila is left alone. |

She’s out of her depth in the new job but coaxes Don into helping her until he finally balks. Sandra learns the real author of the slogan is Mrs. Kate Higgins, an elderly widow. Sandra gives Mrs. Higgins the prize money and quits. Don tracks her down, says her solo writing was fine, and they clinch. |
