||After her parents’ death, Mary is forced to run the household, consisting of her frivolous younger sister Donna and their little brother Pete. Donna intends to wed Dave, the son of her boss. Pete sends Mary’s diary, in which she expresses her love for Dave, to the young man. Dave admits he also loves Mary, not Donna.
