Lita sails to a tropical island to marry Gordon, who was kind to her family. Gordon loves native girl Carlotta but has to have an "American" wife to become plantation manager. Meanwhile, Lita has fallen in love with Alex on the cruise to the island.
Famous model Trella takes a vacation in the West. She meets artist Wade, who doesn't know her identity. She falls for him but he is indifferent to her because she's not glamorous (since she's on vacation).
When her sweetheart Dan goes away to Europe for a year, Judy becomes engaged to the wealthy Roland Preston. Dan comes back and tries to pick up their romance but Judy is conflicted. Roland turns out to be a crook and all ends well for Dan and Judy.
Glyna tries to keep her family farm operating after her father's death. Her boyfriend Ralph is against it. Martin Jeffries takes a job as the hired hand and when Ralph and his banker father try to foreclose on the mortgage, Martin pays off the debt (he's an ex-Air Force officer) and will marry Glyna.
