||Nurse Ann is engaged to Dr. Ted but he works constantly and they aren’t yet financially able to marry. Ann dates former patient Fred, an advertising man, and breaks up with Ted. Her social life begins to adversely affect her nursing work. She realises Fred’s world is “selfish, shallow and useless.” When they witness a car accident, Fred wants to leave but Ann stays and gives the victims medical assistance, saving their lives. She reconciles with Ted.
