Estimates of the date have been given as either 1942 (Keltner) or 1944 (Heritage). No date is present anywhere on the issue, and all other full-size Chesler publications resume in 1944, with the exception of his partnership (of some sort) with Lev Gleason on Captain Battle #3, which may have also been 1942 and was probably not later than 1943. So 1944 seems more likely for this (bringing it nearer to the publication of issue #9), but 1942 remains an outside possibility.
