Comic Story (9 pages) Moonlight and Murder
Synopsis: After Lane’s father is injured in a construction accident, his partner Bert consoles Lane. She meets Dan, a worker who lost his nerve and can’t work high in the girders any more. Dan says Mr. Selby’s fall was caused by sabotage. Dan and Lane learn Bert purchased substandard materials and tried to kill his partner. Overcoming his fear of heights, Dan rescues Lane from Bert on a high girder; Bert falls to his death and Dan and Lane kiss.

Synopsis: As a girl, Ellen fell from a horse and broke her nose. She grows up insecure about her appearance as a result. She’s attracted to fellow college student Bill, but he gives her the brush-off. Ellen’s uncle Bob, a plastic surgeon with experience working on wounded soldiers in Korea, repairs Ellen’s nose. Now Bill is interested, but he breaks up with her after a short time. Ellen dates Dick on the rebound, but has to be saved from his crude passes by long-time friend Harry. She realizes Harry is the only person who loved and defended her all her life, even before her nose job.
