Hi All,

I'm a big fan of the site and think it is a real treasure; always discover something interesting and new each time I visit. It's astonishing just how many comics were produced mid-century and how many still likely remain to be scanned and uploaded here. Thinking about investing in a tablet to read these great four-color artifacts, but waiting for an Android tablet with as good a resolution as the latest iPad at a lower price. (If anyone has recommendations in this regard, I'm open to them).

I'm a 3D artist and recently I digitally sculpted a character featured on this site; had a 3D print of it made and it turned out great. Will post more details about it in the near future!

I have heard that a Toshiba Thrive running Android 4.0 is excellent.  It's thicker but has those extra connections people like to have.

Hi Richard! I'm in La Jolla. I've seen your name on many sites as an authority on Golden Age characters. Jared anything I can do to help I would be more than happy to. Are you going by publisher/company or just random characters or with a theme (Like weird characters or patriotic ones)? Let me know your thoughts.

Quite frankly I'm looking at any character that is fairly well known, visually interesting, enjoyable to sculpt, and doesn't present any obvious copyright/trademark problems. I hope to set up a survey on my site (jaredzichek.com) this evening and get a more scientific view of collectors' preferences. I would like the series to feature a mix of super hero, sci-fi, and horror characters, but that might turn off folks who only like one type of genre. There is also the key question of white metal vs. resin - I prefer the former, but it is more expensive primarily due to the lead content, which increases weight and shipping costs.

I could see a patriotic push to come out around the 4th doing well. Black Terror would be the most obvious along with Daredevil. Dynamite and others have made them more known now. That turns me off but I am not normal. I think the top superheroes from each company would be nice. Magno and Lightning from ACE for instance

One thing I need to ask on my survey is about two-packs: for instance, whether people would like to purchase both the Black Terror and his sidekick Tim together, separately, or omit the sidekicks altogether. I think of the way that Bucky was derided for so many years and wonder if the disdain extends to all these sidekicks, or if they are thought of at all.

Nice choice Roygbiv666; I like most of the red-white-and-blue heroes, not out of any fervent nationalism (though I do love my country), but from a graphic design standpoint. It's a nice combination of colors.

However, as my handle suggests (BlazingSkullRocks), any character with a skull motif has my clear preference! If I could afford the Marvel license, Blazing Skull would be my top pick, and I would do every variant of him.
