Charles Addams(January 7, 1912 – September 29, 1988)
Addams was known for his eccentric cartoons, which were all characterized by a sinister sense of humor. He worked in The New Yorker from the mid 1930s throughout the 1980s. His most famous creation is 'The Addams Family' which was turned into a TV show from 1964-66.

Don Newton(November 12, 1934 - August 19, 1984)
A comic fan from a young age he eventually became an art teacher in the mid–1960s.
Newton became involved with the Science Fiction and Comics Association (SFCA) and became a staple in the organization's publications. Between 1968 and 1973 he produced almost two dozen covers for the Rocket's Blast Comicollector and many interior illustrations. In all Newton’s work appeared in over one hundred fanzines.

Gene Simmons became a rock legend from KISS, he was quite involved in fandom writing several things for various fanzines. We'll read more about those days in a future update. But here Simmons was tried as the lead in a failed 80's TV pilot based on Mike Grell's
Jon Sable, Freelance comic.
