It is expensive, but man I have never seen as  large a page count as that!

I actually saw one issue at a local shop back in the 90’s, at a price I couldn’t afford then but would jump on now... I think around $150?

At least the book just has other issues, no new content as far as I know.

Biggest page count on a GA book I own is “only” 232 pages, so not too close...

Those massive Fawcett 'Gift' & 'Xmas' 324 pagers are unique. I always wanted one as a kid in the 1940s, but some how could never get the 50 cents to buy one. That was a lot of money then - probably around $10 today? I finally got one (Gift #1) by trading 10 of my ordinary comics for it. The ones I've seen since then seem to be bound very tightly with heavy staples. They would be hard to scan without damage because they don't  open flat and the picture panels are very close to the binding. None of the stories were new; the books were compilations of past Fawcett issues bound together as one at Christmas time. It would be interesting to know if each yearly issue had the same contents, or was bundled with different stories.

Sounds like a project for someone!!!!
I never knew they existed before until yesterday!!!!

I always thought those Archie thick comics from the 70's or 80's were big. I had a few. Cardboard covers, full size comic, not a digest, maybe about 200 pages or so?
Anyone else remember them?

It's a lovey idea to have one but according to GCD the first issue was 'perfect' bound.  https://www.comics.org/issue/225465/
That means glued to a wraparound cover.  It would almost for sure fall apart if forced under a scanner.

But would we like a scan for DCM?  You bet!  Two books would be upgrades to what we have and one would have a page fill we need.

Weren't those things just rebound Fawcett comics?  We probably have the originals.

DM they were printed at the same time the other book were and then bound into one "Big" book at Christmas time each year (for 7 years I believe). So they wern't reprints or leftovers rebound each year. With top sellers included in each volume issued. A very neat idea if you ask me.

And, in the case of the #1, we do have the issues.  But one is all fiche, one is a GM scan, and a third could use fills.

The all-fiche one is Captain Marvel Adventures #3, and the GM one is Bulletman #2.  Both would be very nice issues to upgrade, to put it mildly...
