Hi Indy,
The current banner was the Very First DCM banner ever!
We had a contest to see if anyone could name the sources of everyone in it.

The last character on the far right was from the cover of Amazing Mystery Funnies v1n1 which is found in the Centaur section of the site.
The artwork was by the great Bill Everett.

The character's name is "Skyrocket" Steele, if that helps the search at all.
