Searching for Specific Comics

I can't seem to figure out how to search for specific comics at this site ... not complaining, just saying ...

I appreciate the comics I've downloaded from here ...

There is a search feature right above the DCM banner to the right.
Type the name of the book you are looking for.

that gets me into the forums with every word ... for instance ... was searching for any 'Our Army at War' comics and I got messages with the words ... at ... War ... our ... army ... but nothing I was looking for ...

I guess what I mean is a search button that allows you to search for the actual downloadable comics and not stuff in the forums ...

does that make sense?

There is a site search at the top of the main page, but you won't find any Our Army at War, that was a DC comic and therefore not in the Public Domain.

would anyone here know where I might find any of them for downloading? I'm 56 and I'd like to read a bunch of them one more time in this life ...

Sorry but that is a DC title and not in the public domain.
Google is all I suggest.
Meanwhile there is a LOT of good war books here you might not have seen.  Try the Harvey section.

I think, reading between the lines, that your problem is you're searching this site, The Forum, rather than the actual Museum which is at:

http://digitalcomicmuseum.com/

But you still won't find Our Army at War there as Yoc said.

Thanks everyone ... I am mainly interested in Military comics and will take a look at the harvey collection as well as keep looking for the other stuff elsewhere ... Can anyone tell me the name of the series that has titles like Waterloo and the 3 Musketeers and Prince and the Pauper ... I  thought it was Dell, but that doesn't seem right.

That sounds like Classics Illustrated, which was published by Gilberton, but is also not here.

As far as military comics, you can find many of them by going to the site's main page, hitting ctrl+f and then searching for military, war, army, fightin, navy, etc. All the subcategories for various comics are listed right on that page (although each main category tends to have a bunch of individual comics which haven't been categorized & those won't appear on the main page).

You can also look around on DCM's sister (ish?) site http://comicbookplus.com/?cid=1507 most of the comics are the same there as here, but they also include some silver age stuff.

While I agree they didn't have Kubert, I did like their war titles. I started reading them in 78, and they kept me pretty happy, and some of the art was more graphic than DC at times. I also learned more German, including the naughty words, than in the DC titles. lol.

I hope you enjoy the Charlton and Harvey titles.
