Vietnam era propaganda comic books
« on: September 05, 2014, 02:04:09 PM »
Hey all,
New to this site. I am working on a paper about Vietnam era propaganda comics. I have been looking at Dell's Tales of the Green Berets and Jungle War Stories/ Guerrilla War Stories and Charlton's Shotgun Harker and the Chicken stories from Fightin' Marines. Can anyone come up with other leads on this topic?
Thanks much -Todd Threet-

Here another one that may help you out: Dong Xoai, Vietnam 1965 by Joe Kubert. You can get a copy here: http://www.amazon.com/Dong-Xoai-Vietnam-Kubert-Library/dp/1401229484

Would hope that helps you some more.

Two other titles worth checking out are the Milson's bizarre1967 superhero comic, "Todd Holton, Super Green Beret." An online copy is available here:

Also Tower's 1966 "Fight the Enemy!" It's on ComicBookPlus:

One anti-war one was Warren's BLAZING COMBAT.  DC also ran Vietnam era war stories in various books.  In one ish of SUPERMAN, Supes went to 'Nam.
