Detective type characters
« on: September 01, 2014, 07:53:22 PM »
I've enjoyed my browsing thus far.  But I am wondering this--I like detective-type characters, i.e. Batman, The Shadow, The Clock, The Crimson Avenger, etc., and I was wondering if there is any type of resource to find more of these type characters and/or collections of their stories.  I've discovered some here, like the Black Dwarf and the Phantom Detective.  I am just looking for something to make the searching a little easier.  That is not to say that I'm not enjoying going through these wonderful collections.  Any help, direction, comments, etc. will be appreciated!

I have one publisher to suggest. Novelty's Young King Cole is about the title character taking over his father's detective agency.

Eventually the title became Criminals On The Run, but YKC continued to appear:

Novelty's Target Comics featured the Chameleon who was modeled on the Phantom Detective. Dick Cole, a military school cadet, often solved mysteries. As did the Target & the Targeteers.

You like the Black Dwarf? Read my prose story about him at:
