Out-Foxed

I want to acknowledge the immense effort that went into scanning and posting all these Fox comics. I also want to note the historical importance of having so many rare Fox titles made available to the public. But I'm going to make some new enemies by confessing that I'll breathe a sigh of relief when the Fox Spotlight is extinguished.

Sure, there are bright spots, mostly early work by artists who made it big elsewhere. However for the most part it's a mind-numbing parade of poor art and indifferent stories. After a few typical Fox issues I'm so depressed only an ice-cold bottle of Kooba Kola could cheer me up--but I can't seem to find any.

I sure the scanners/editors of these books appreciate your kind words. It does help us scanner/editors to do the next scan.

Part of the reason for only releasing these two a day is the sheer number involved.  We didn't want to drown the site in one go with a flood of 100 Fox books.  A steady trickle gives people a chance to breathe and perhaps find that hidden gem.  Sure, they are far from the best that the GA has to offer but like every comic of the era, they each deserve preservation.  'One mans garbage...' and all that.
We hope to give more publishers the Spotlight treatment in the future.
