That was in honor of Captain Midnight's costume colors (I don't think there's a cover in that series that doesn't look AWESOME!).  I would have used yellow instead of orange, but it was so bright I temporarily lost sight in my left eye so I changed it.

Famous Funnies #004

This is one of the first American comic books ever published.  Issue #1 was the first so perhaps this was 4th ever published (way back in 1934).  I'm proud to own a piece of history even if it's coverless!  That was the only way I could afford it, but I'm hoping to get more early issues in the near future.  The ones after issue #5 don't hit the pocketbook quite so hard.
