Just for completeness, everybody do keep in mind that, like comics of the day, "Christmas" for us is more of a shorthand of "the winter holiday and/or festival of your choice but old comics rarely show so much as a hanukkia."
So, in no particular order, Happy...
- birthdays of Ali Jinnah and those Sikh gurus I've never gotten right
- Taiwanese Constitution Day
- Beaivi (deep gasping breath...), and
- the winter solstice.
(Oh, and the assorted recent advent of humanist, secular, and satirical holidays celebrated on or round Christmas Day, and the amorphous month and a half that various sects celebrate as Christmas.)
If you're offended at the short shirft, then you can help by developing a cute, public domain cartoon mascot to pervert your favorite wiinter festival into a crass, commercial affair. And remember that, if we tried to celebrate them all, we'd never get any comics posted.
