Vortex ComiX - The French & Italian Golden Age Blog
« on: August 13, 2012, 04:03:34 AM »
hello!
Here, I do not know if it is the good place to make this post, therefore me do not want of it too much if I were mistaken, and I excuse myself in advance for my horrible English.
I wanted to announce you this: http://vortexcomix.blogspot.fr/
Vortex Comix Comix vortex is a homage to the heroes of the goldenage, which either is not new, but the characteristic is that the site is in French and in Italian, including the comics (one is at the beginning, has few comics there, but they all are translated)

There are also other comics, amateurs, like the Reverend Cruz or Bodycount, and also, of the news covers, by young draughtsmen, and especially, one has the plan of new adventures of these heroes.

A word of caution to anyone using outdated anti-virus protection: I got a "threat warning" when I clicked one of the links on the blog.

Hello, I've had a look and bookmarked you.  The problem seems to be that you are treading where many others have gone before, not only DCM and CB+.   Your saving grace is that the site is in French or Italian, which should encourage non-native English speakers to join and learn more about golden age comics.  But please bear in mind that Italy and France have a fine history of Masked Mystery Men comics, as has Britain.  The beginnings of the genre of costumed heroes can be traced back further than the Golden Age comics to American pulps and British storypapers, although you seem to stress metahumans, as in superpowered heroes. It would be a shame if you were to ignore the many heroes in their gaudy costumes and masks with no discernable powers.
Good luck.  I'll keep checking in and I've already downloaded a couple of files.

Then thank you for the council, one appreciated much. Yes, I know that Italy and France have that, but our butetait, precisely, to make known has us, Europeans, your first super heroes. To be able to make in kind of being able not only to look at the images, but to be able to read the stories of them. me same, I do not read well English, it is a friend who translate of English to French (and me, of French Italian has)
I think that the moment will come where we will be able to use comics, Italian and French comics, but for the moment, they are not yet free of right, regrets my greater.

I held has to announce you something, nevertheless, which ace nothing to see with me.
a certain Mister uses from now on in France the logo and the name of ACE Comics and claims that its lawyers repurchase all the copyrights of the ACE characters. It me ace even of law-suits.
this Mister is a swindler, who is made pass for American, whereas it is French, and “intimidates” those which want to use characters golden age with this history of rights, to be the only one has to be able to publish them. all that interests it, it is of being able to print them without having has to pay the rights.
I held has to inform you of it. he sees in your work a simple store where to help itself, without anything to have nobody has.

thank you and I hope has very soon!
