It looks sorta familiar but I'm stumped.

Not sure is Jim is grumpy or not, but I am getting that way as I keep telling you what it is ... lol.

Plus, yes I really do think it is a fun cover and well worthy of a little attention. But, as I have already said a few times any future covers I'll review the comics before I post.

I have looked at Captain Easy and Wash Tubbs and their appearances.

I am not in the least bit mad or grumpy, Mark,
simply supremely disinterested and totally baffled by the cover, hints and all. I'm not about to invest effort and time into a game where I don't even care IF I know the answer. As I said once before, you credit me with WAY too much emotional involvement in these things. Right now my involvement is in re-caulking our shower room, installing a medicine cabinet in my bathroom (my Rx bottles have gotten out of hand), researching some old Timely comics with Hames Ware, working on the next issue of ImageS, helping John Benson proof a transcription of a decades-old interview with George Evans, and I just finished writing an introduction for a Phantom Lady reprint volume and installing a new electric garage door opener. And Karen just brought in the Christmas tree. Playing what's this obscure comic, when I've run through all the companies I know, is simply pretty low on the to do list.

And just for the real, official record, I GIVE UP. You can tell me/us and we can go on. You can even do the next one, too. Just that this one is going nowhere.

You might not be grumpy Jim (I never said you were).  But I am getting there, as I keep telling people what the title is!! I have mentioned it so many times notice the bold.

Blimey, you are busy that is a lot of multitasking going on there a very eclectic mix of chores. My mind is really only designed for one major task at a time. So, like you this is all a bit of fun, but what I have been up to and maybe a clue to how the cheat machine worked (past tense) will be revealed around the New Year period. It has taken months.

I know you think you're telling us something, Mark,
but the sad truth is that we're not getting it. Any chance you can just use your words?

Something about "review" I suppose, but GCD doesn't give any titles with that word earlier than 1972 and searching for it in DCM is pointless, it seems. Give it up, please.

Jim knows this artist. I often mistook him for someone else.

Oh, thank you, narf,
I never would have gotten it nor would I ever have associated the book with St. John. Simply not on my radar screen.

I just noticed it, Narf,
I have to log in AND get on the Games Room topic in order to see your images. Looks sorta like Rocke Mastroserio circa 1958 to me. I'm lost in Timely circa 1948 right now, which means a lot of Pierce Rice and Chu Hing. I need to maintain my edge there.

You've got me, narf.
I want it to be a Charlton, but the printing is too sophisticated. The style seems to me to be the late '50s and I don't know who else was doing this kind of western art post '55. A puzzlement.

Well done Narf!

BTW I think that having to be logged to see attached images is a forum setting. Yoc needs to tick "View attachments" on the guest permissions. (or not, as maybe there is a good reason why DCM has set it to off)

Ha Ha
I picked the picture to be easy but not too easy and seems to be working.  I know Chu Hing from Green Turtle but was not aware that he stayed in comics that long.
Here is some more of the puzzle and a clue that will probably give it away to Jim. It has a different inker than penciler.

I don't know about anything policy-wise, but I happen to like it.  Makes it easier to check out what's happening "under the radar" from, say, the office.
