Jungle scam
« on: November 14, 2011, 08:01:51 PM »
So I was browsing through my Jungle uploads and saw a 2-year-old comment on the 61's page that it was #63's pages with #61's cover...
So I checked it out and the commenter was right! And how many people along with me haven't noticed it?
I'll see if I still have my copy of #61, and, if I do, scan it asap!

After posting my note, I had a premonition, and it came true when I checked my collection: I have a loose cover of #61 with #63's pages! Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!

Back in the early seventies, I bought a copy of a Marvel Family issue from 1950 with what I thought was a detached cover. I took the staples out and restapled the entire book to include the cover, and didn't discover until four or five months later that the number on the cover and the number in the indicia didn't match. I thought the fact that the cover featured a scene which was nothing like any of the contents meant the cover was just symbolic. We all overlook the obvious from time to time.
