Jo-Jo #7A uploaded

Hi all. I was able to find a reasonably priced "reading copy" of Jo-Jo Comics #7A at last weekend's Phoenix Comicon; I just finished scanning it, creating a .cbz, and uploading it via the link on the front page of the site. It's my first attempt at uploading here, so I hope it works!

I did some minimal color correction to remove the background tint of the yellowed paper, but otherwise left it "as is" -- didn't have time to go through and touch up every rip, stain, or smudge in Photoshop. (Maybe I can release a revised version if I ever get time to digitally retouch the pages. Or if someone else wants to try it, contact me -- I've still got the unedited raw scans.)

You're welcome! I've been trying to find an affordable copy of this issue for awhile now -- I got it primarily for the Purple Tigress backup story (I'm a fan of obscure characters with only one or two appearances) but was glad to see the rest of the stories in this issue were fun as well. I'm glad I could share it for others to enjoy.

 I enjoyed the Purple Tigress story. I've read the other Purple Tigress story (there are just two, I believe?) back when Steve Roger, Captain America (Eric/srca) posted it to one of the titles of his on-line reprint magazines at his Golden Years site, before GAC or DCM existed and though it was interesting but not particularly good. The one in the issue of Jo-Jo is much more entertaining and memorable, mainly thanks to the strange costume villain but also for giving the tigress a few more pages to do something more complicated.

Glad you enjoyed it as much as I did. I think I first discovered the Purple Tigress on the Golden Years website too. Like I said, I enjoy tracking down obscure superheroes, and I've been trying to find the elusive second (and last, as far as I can tell) appearance of the the Purple Tigress for awhile. I love the lighthearted oddity of the character: the oblivious supporting cast who don't recognize her despite making no attempt at all to disguise her face, the superhero name which begs for an origin story that is simply not forthcoming (what IS a purple tiger, anyway?) and her sarcastic puns as she beats the bad guys senseless were ahead of her time -- she could pass as a modern action movie heroine.

You're right, the Purple Tigress could pass for a modern super hero movie/ action movie heroine, AND still make a bit more sense that the "Catwoman" movie that felt compelled to dumb the concept down to the lowest common denominator.
