Miss America archive
« on: April 03, 2011, 10:06:25 AM »
I've tried downloading this file and using CBR, Windows Viewfinder, and Adobe. But it won't open up, keeps saying things like "No Images" or "Unknown File Type"  :-/

I just found out this character was continued in DC Comics and I wanted to find out the original version.

Have you read the FAQ entry on Readers?

I see the file name is truncated.
Charlie, rename it to a .CBR file.  Renaming it and it should work.
It can be read in the PREVIEW for the book if you really want to see them.

Until then I'll try and sort the problem on my end but it might take a little while.

I've re-uploaded the file as a CBZ file.
It should be fine now.

Yeah, works fine. Sorry about the hassle.

Thanks a lot.

P.S. Was 'The Web' a GAC character? He appeared in a limited series run recently with the same format as some other GAC MLJ/Archie Comics super-heroes.

Certainly was - and nicely done as well - also by MLJ.
Check Zip Comics #27 from July 1942 for his first story.
