I can extract this book, but when I try to put it in a cbr file, I get blank page with Error Loading message.  Is there any way I can cbr this?

That's very odd Moon.
CDisplay can use CBR and CBZ.  Have you tried creating a Zip file and renaming that for reading?
Any jpg viewer will let you read it once you've extracted it.  But was the original file a problem?

Try changing the extension. Some of the reader programs don't like .cbr. There is one, Comical I think it is likes .cbz best.

Can you go into a little more detail?  What do you mean "put it in a cbr file"?  Shouldn't it already be one?

Moon,
This one is a ZIP file.  It should like all the other zip files you've gotten from the site.
Renaming it to .CBZ and CDisplay will display it.

Both as a cbr and cbz I only get a blank grey page that reads "Error Loading: POP3 (1)FC.jpg"   Same result if I change the extension or unzip then add the jpgs to a rar and rename that.

If you extract the files they say they are jpgs.  They are in fact .png files.  Irfanview tells me this.
They are also showing out of order because they are missing leading '0' in the first nine files.

So, bottom line.  If you want to read it right now use the PREVIEW feature with is working.
(Good advice for any file if you see a problem.  Does it work in the Preview?)

I will correct and try to upload the fix asap.

Thanks for letting us know about it Moon.

It's working fine now, Yoc. At least on preview. Can't say it looks like a book I would want to download, otherwise I would give that a try but I would think that if one features works wouldn't the other, or would it?

Actually this has been a good lesson for DCM Jon.
We've learned the PNG files uploaded inside a cbz WILL work in the Preview window but shows a BLACK thumbnail and CDisplay will not show anything.
The original file was made by 'maria7727' whose uploads have been a problem in the past.

That's interesting, Yoc. I assume that means the same condition applies to the three chapters of the Acrobat story which Dark Mark uploaded from Don Ensign's Blue Boy, Cpt. Marvel Jr. site, since it is showing a black box. I haven't tried to download it although I did read it the last chapter using the preview feature (I had read the other two chapters at the Blue Boy site), and I will probably read the entire story in one setting this weekend. Know what the black square indicates now, it may save me frustration in the future if I try to download such files.

 Thanks for the tip.

I haven't gotten it yet myself Jon.  If you do find a problem opening it with CDisplay (or any file with a problem) please let me know.  These are the first cases of black thumbnails that I've seen.

True.  Oddly though DM made the file up using .gif files instead of .jpgs.  I expect that is the format they were shared in.
It would be better tough if they were converted first just to be 100% sure they work for everyone after downloading.
