"Kiss of Death" sounds like a femme fatale villain if I ever heard of one.

Nice. I love the big, team covers.

And Man in Black: I've always rather liked that character, and am interested in seeing him in the crowd.

MiB fits right in with the hero crowd.  I could see him playing a Psycho-Pirate type roll in a mystery man book.

I'm thinking Man in Black would be a more sinister, morally ambiguous version of the Phantom Stranger.

One more point:

some guardian chick = Wildfire
Crystal dude = Hydroman
Blue guy = Man o' Metal

Nikki
Martinex
Yondu

The guy with his back to us, with the blue cowl with a yellow line/chevron is Starhawk.

I was very fond of the original Guardians of the Galaxy when I was a kid.

I stand corrected.  I like your take more than mine.
I too liked Guardians version 1 growing up.

I submitted the digital files for the STANDARD COMICS ENCYCLOPEDIA to Ka-Blam! online printers the other day, should have a proof copy to review -- in a bout a month!

Then the comic gets release on Print on Demand via IndyPlanet.

Details to come.
