CENTAUR's AMAZING MAN COMICS
« on: September 18, 2010, 09:06:45 PM »
Recently (JUST)... it was brought to my attention that there was a second story in the pages of AMC #26.

BCHAT said: not sure if you noticed but the Collectors Society forum has a thread here showing images (photos, not scans) from Amazing-Man Comics 26, including another Amazing-Man story and the 2nd (and last) Meteor Martin story (to have been continued in the "next issue" of Star & Stripes ... which never happened).

Is this the only case of this happening?
Are there missing story pieces from the downloadable issues of AMC from #24 and #25? Are there more in even more previous issues?

I have never seen any indication of anything in any of the writing I have read about there being such an extra story... So imagine my surprise when I actually got to read an unseen (for me) Amazing Man story.

A perfect example of this might be... is there a missing story behind the cover of AMC #22?
Does anyone know?

Any input would of course be ever so appreciated.

Thanks

I know that many people ignore them but the text pieces in Amazing Man are usually Amazing Man stories

You are very right about that. The text pieces are very good.
Especially "Tragic Note".

But I am talking about the Cover of AMC#22. Which used to be the one image you'd find on the net about Amazing Man in virtually any search of him.

Example:

Hopefully someone will know more specifically.

Just out of curiosity, if we assume that the Vulture Killer story mentioned above was the only Aman story in AMC #26 (since the Grand Comic Database indicates that there was only one), would that mean that the Aman story that we have here with our partial copy of AMC #26  (with the copper mining disaster plot) might have come from Stars and Stripes #6?  Isn't that the only other Aman story that we're missing?

Hi CN,
Given we've never seen a c2c scan of either AMC 26 or S&S 6 I guess anything is possible.
The GCD breakdown of AMC 26 is pretty detailed though the page count for the King of Darkness story is off by one page.
