WOW! Looks like something D.Clowes, C.Ware or S*th privately covets. For more obscure half-baked Louisiana snake oil, check out the wikipedia entry for water hyacinth, an invasive plant species that a Louisiana politician, in cahoots with a future Nazi spy, wanted to eradicate with imported hippos!

A true gem!
Hadacol patent medicine had SO much alcohol in it that it was a go-to for those who just couldn't git enuff of th' hair o' th'dawg whut bit 'em. Or at least in those US states down South that were "dry," or where liquor couldn't be sold.

Even the renowned Professor Longhair belted out a blues jumper called THE HADACOL BOUNCE -- and Hadacol had hymns rocked out to and riffed upon by others such as Jerry Lee Lewis, The Treniers, and many more--- I even recall hearing a Zydeco tune praising Hadacol a while ago.

"Come on all you mamas both old an' young/
Your Hadacol Daddy wantsta have some fun/
I ain't been hugged an' I ain't been kissed/
Since I put my name on the Hadacol List!//
I feel so young I'm very much alive/
I'm not too old, I'm just 65/
