He drew a total of 13 stories for Novelty between November 1944 and May 1947, as well as producing work for Charlton, Quality, Star Publications, Fiction House, Avalon, Fawcett, Victory magazine Corporation, and MLJ/Archie. During the same period, he was also working for magazine publishers and for African-American newspapers, and was under contract to the U.S Office of War Information. Prior to World War II, he was a muralist for the WPA.
