When Bob mysteriously sends her a rose and a theatre ticket, Ann falls in love with him. However, she learns he is the son of a friend of her mother’s and the date was a set-up. Ann visits her cousin Joan, hoping Bob will track her down. When he doesn’t show up, Ann swallows her pride and goes to him. They get engaged.

When Larry finds out, he says “you’re nothing but a self-centered, spoiled brat!” and breaks up with her. Marie tries to forget her troubles by helping a blind student study for her final exams. This makes Larry change his mind and return to Marie.

They reconcile.
