Synopsis: Billings and Sharkey convince Tonta that they are clearing the jungle near his temple to make it easier for worshipers of Tonta's gorillas to come to him. In fact, they're searching for treasure using mind-controlled slaves as labor. Kaänga and Ann show Tonta that he has been duped and he orders his apes to help capture Billings and Sharkey.

Terry disguises himself as an East Indian hunter and takes a caravan of the sheikh's men into the desert. Black Scourge attacks the caravan but is defeated and captured by Terry.

They soon discover that the Vikings are an earlier archaeology expedition, betrayed by Remley. Camilla helps the "Vikings" defeat Remley's men. Remly falls to his death and his henchmen are captured.
