Are you like me, always looking for that warm glow that a crazy artist like
Fletcher Hanks gave you reading his work with Stardust and Fantomah? You know the feeling -
'what the HECK was that? Holy crap that was nuts!'
Well, wasn't I happy when I found what looks like someone Very influenced by Hanks with the byline of - Phillips Judge - doing a story right up Hanks' alley. A story that makes almost no sense - a hidden civilization of ugly fire breathing mermen - humans taken capture - with abundant silhouetted scenes to save time. The only thing missing was the usual over the top violence at the end. One wonders how the 'merrmen' can shrink and drown in water? The heroes all look a bit too 'normal' for typical Hanks but this guys does his best impression.
Yep, it might not be authentic Hanks but I felt like I was reading one all the same!
