Hello DCM! I discovered your site after following links from Paul Tumey's "Coles Comics." I'm now officially an Old Age Pensioner, and pleased to find so many of the titles I enjoyed as a youngster (mostly through UK or IW reprints) are represented here.
As a young man I yearned to be a comics artist and draw superheroes, but in this country, apart from Dan Dare, everything we had was Humour, War and Football comics. I went for "training" in a London Studio but it consisted mostly of making the tea and picking up parcels, the closest I got to superheroes was doing one-colour overlays on early Marvel reprints. Disillusionment followed!
I'm very impressed with your collections, and I've tried downloading some of your excellent Fiction House Spirits. However I find #1 is a Zipped RAR file, unlike the other four, which download as Sequential Image Display files.
I've tried opening the file with 7-Zip but all I get is a collection of single pages which won't read with either Preview or CDisplay. I'm not very tech-minded, so I'd be grateful for any suggestions.
In the meantime my thanks to you at DCM for bringing so much enjoyment to comics fans, myself included.
