Comment made at: Smash Comics 018Oddly enough, Chic Carter - one of the heroes in this series - has the same name as the hero of the serial CHICK CARTER (1942). This serial was intended to be a NICK Carter serial, but when Republic were unable to get the rights, they had to settle for the character of Chick Carter, Nick Carter's brother. Nick Carter's adventures ran from the turn of the last century to the late nineteen seventies, when they were discontinued permanently, possibly due to a copyright lapse.
