Hi, what a great find. I have downloaded the complete Fletcher Hanks 'Stardust' stories because that was something I was familiar wtih from the reprinted books-can anyone recomend any other good, old characters or artists that I may not have heard of?

Hi Jason,
Welcome to the site.
I'd recommend you continue in the Archives and Collections site for some premium material.
I've helped create some of them there including the Phantom Lady Archives and the design work in the Rangerhouse collections.

Personal favourites are the Walt Kelly material from Dell (on pg 2),
The Dell Scribbly Collection (another I helped with)
Monster Society of Evil (Fawcett) is fun but there is some fiche scans in it.
The Lady Luck, Sky-Girl and Torchy collections are fun if you like good girl art.

If you like Hanks, you'll likely love Basil Wolverton's Spacehawk in Novelty's Target Comics. (Lots of other fine stuff there, too.)
