Thrilled to have discovered this treasure trove. I'm a teacher looking for some of the old battle comics to inspire some reluctant readers. We have a few boys who are mad keen on anything military, and my colleague and I are looking forward to seeing their reaction to these. Thanks indeed!

Welcome.

You might want to take a look at Magazine Enterprise's U.S. Marines title. The early WW2 issues were produced in cooperation with the Marine Corps. They contain some combat photos, & some art produced from such photos in addition to comics stories.
