Can you suggest some comics about the Navy?
(Just read the series of books "The Destroyer" Taylor Anderson).

For destroyers, try the "Fighting' Navy" title from Charlton comics.

There is also "Navy History and Tradition" in the Government Pamphlet section which should give a nice overview of the US Navy through WWII.
