Hey, I was wondering, does anybody know of any comic series on here that had kids as the main characters?

What kinds of stories do you like?  It was far more common in newspaper strips which got reprinted in a lot of comics (Dickie Dare was a popular one for instance), but some pure comic book titles had kids as the main character like National Periodical's (DC) Newsboy Legion.  Does Billy Batson as Captain Marvel count?  Bob Swift was another.  I think there's a couple of Bob Swift books on DCM and I've got 2 more to edit and post.  When comics first became popular they were geared a lot towards an adult audience.  Their beginnings almost coincided with WW2 so a lot of books from that time period had jingoistic motivations to invigorate the fighting forces.  After the war people didn't want the violence anymore.  They were tired of it and I think at this point is where you see more comics geared towards kids start.

I'm assuming by kid you mean younger than teen.  There are tones of Archie type comics with teens -- though fewer here than in general. There are also many funny animal comics with adult and child funny animals like Donald and his nephews -- again those aren't here but similar ones are. I'll stick to human younger than teens here:

Eva the Imp (Ajax)
Kilroys (ACG) has some stories centering on kids
Little Angel (Better)
Spunky (Better)
Li'l Genius, Li'l Tomboy, Li'l Rascal Twins (Charlton)
Rock N Rollo (Charlton)
Little Max (Harvey)
Daredevil (Lev Gleason) -- the later issues all featured the Little Wiseguys
Brain, Clubhouse Rascals, Little Miss Sunbeam, Tick Tock Tales (ME)
Calling All Kids (Parents)
Little Eva (St John)
Howdy Doody (Dell) is a kid. He was a marionette in "real life" but just a kid in the comics.

Those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head.

Hey, Thanks guys. I really appreciate your responses. Hey KaineZ I was looking more for them for an art project rather than the stories, so it really didn't matter which kind of comic they were in. Yes, JonTheScanner, I was looking for kids that were younger than teens.
