Offhand, I don't know. It's been rattling around my head for long enough that I thought everybody knew, so I don't even remember where I saw the story.
I would imagine the Ninth Circuit courts (which includes California) probably have the best information, but I don't know enough legalese to fake my way through a records search like that.
