file sharing between comic book lover and PC
Mark Warner:
The iPad does not have a USB port with the same functionality as we would expect. IE: You can't plug in a USB key etc. But that iExplorer looks like it solves the main problem by making the iPad appear as an external drive. Mind you I haven't an iPad ... but if I did ...lol

I have tried hooking in an ipad as a pc external and no file structure shows up. I think it works if connected to a mac computer
Yoc:
I thought I heard you have to install their iTunes software to work with files on the PC.
Any iPad experts out there care to educate us old farts?

Nope Jim, it shows nothing with a Mac either, I tried it with a PC to see if that might work, no joy.
By the way they've started to do the same with the Android system on the Mac anyway, my old phone I could see the files.

That's what I believe this iExplorer software does .. I could be wrong ... but I think it allows you to browse the iPads file system. If it does then problem solved!! When I get some time I'll install it on my iPhone and have a play
