Uploaded a  promotional comic (The March to Market) developed for the Swift Meat Company which describes how meat products move from the open range - to meatpacking plants - to stores - to our tables.  I'm not sure of who the artist is but I do like the layouts used and the artwork. There are some nice western scenes and "out of panel" artwork.  :D

Just uploaded a School Bus Public Service poster from the late 1950s or 1960s (????) to the Misc Fun directory (Harvey Pioneer Pointers). Not sure, but it looks like Ray Bailey art.  I couldn't  find any information about  the “Pioneer” spokesman of the poster, but it looks familiar, any ideas who the pioneer may be?

I tried to take a photo of the poster but didn't like the dull lighting so I scanned the poster in sections.  I hope the connection lines aren't too much of a distraction.  The poster is a real nice looking piece of art.

Pioneer's Pointers - As suggested, I've uploaded the combined file of Narfstar's Pioneer's Pointers booklet and my Pioneer poster. I had hoped it was Ray Bailey artwork, but closer viewing indicates it is Lee Elias pencils. The different layouts for the safety tips using the same artwork is interesting to see.  Did the artist get paid extra for the booklet or was the art reworked by someone else?  Before PhotoShop it would be true cut and paste  ;)

Just returned from a Nostalgia convention where I was able to trade a few older pulps for comics.  One for DCM will be Parents Magazine Press TRUE COMICS # 33.  According to Overstreet, the issue contains the 1st appearance of Special Agent Steve Saunders of the FBI. The issue is only in fair condition and will require some editing and careful scanning.  Should have it up by the end of the week.

Uploaded a very damaged True Comics # 33. Pages were a crispy brown and were deteriorating to the point of breaking off when touched.  I had to use a thin paper sheet to turn the pages and photograph them on my photo frame. PhotoShop adjustments were necessary with varying results due to the advanced browning of the paper.  I almost didn't upload the comic, but some pages are better than none  ;)  We may get lucky and find a better copy to scan.  Wish it could have been a better copy.

I've listed the missing pages below based on the listing for True Comics # 33 in the Grand Comics Database.

Missing last page of “General Clark” , 'Common Cold” and “Spy for Freedom” stories. ( 3 pgs total)
Missing 5 page story “Call Him Doc”
Missing 7 page story “ Special Agent of the FBI”

Just uploaded Punch and Judy Vol 1 #7  from a Rangerhouse scan.  The cover was found on the internet, it seems to be one of the harder ones to find.

Question: will the GCD update their database from this upload or should we submit the update?

There are a few GCDers keeping an eye on DCM for scans to use to update the GCD.  But there are plenty of DCM scans not indexed on GCD that you are encouraged to tackle.

(I did already do the new Super Cat this morning because I have a pet project of tracing certain reprints.)

Now up.
I think those with JVJ index cards at the end should certainly be updated on GCD.
