Reading CBZ comic files

Hi.  I am new to The Digital Comic Museum Forum.  I have downloaded soem comics in CBZ format, but cannot read them on my PC with Windows XP.  I downloaded a couple fo fiels, such as Free File Veiwer, which are supposed to be able to open CBZ files, but they do not work.  One of them, Nuance PDF Reader, was downloaded and appears in my list of programs on "Add/Remove Programs," but nowhere else (e.g., not on the Desktop or on "All Programs"), so I cannot even open the program.  Has anyone run into similar problems, and do you have any suggested solutions.  I have not even tried downloading or opening other formats, such as RAR, but I suspect I migth have similar problems.  Thanks.

Both Cdisplay and peazip are available at www.download.com both free programs. Peazip will open both zip and rar files and more. Cdisplay is a comic reader to read both cbz and cbr files. Intstall the two of those and you should be good to go. I would install peazip first as my cdisplay would not open cbr files until after I had peazip installed to open the rar files. In case you are interested cbz and zip files are identical just renamed files for the reader, as are rar and cbr files.

I use YACReader and its a goog aplication comic reader.
