Just thought I would share a couple of programs I use that other my find usefull.

Screenhunter Pro  -  I use for all my comic snapshot for facebook,  just a screan capture util. but a very good one. $9.99 or something like that shareware

QuickePicsV3 -  jpeg optimizer that runs in batch mode -  so when I finish a comic I select a directory and it shrinks every page from in in minutes.  $9.99 shareware

Corel Draw v5 -  Corel is great but Photo Paint is even better,  they now have Home/Student pricing and you can install on x3 pcs about $119.00 or something like that.

Ifanview -  for Batch scanning (freeware)  trying to work out WHY it scans in 300dpi then coverts to 96dpi but HUGE image.

Well Hope other Share what they use...  I used to use JPEG Optimizer but doest work well in batch mode.

Thanks rangerhouse

Thanks RH.
Total Commander is the single app I couldn't live without.  Batch renames, ftp access, file compression - all built in.
FireFox users can find free Add-ons like 'Screengrab'.
I use IrFanview, hit 'B' for batch mode and can resize, sharpen, etc  I've never used it for scanning with.
Can't say I've heard of JPEG Optimizer before this.

Whale:
for image batch processing I use imagemagick. I work in Linux but it is available for Windows and Mac as well. GIMP is a very good image editor. For vector images I use Inkscape. All programs listed are free and opensource and available for various operating systems.

I use irfanview for batch. I am glad someone told me about the straightening tool that it has also. It can also auto adjust color which on some "dull" books, helps a lot.
