Just added a new scan of my copy of True Comics #1; the existing scan here was missing a page. Cover to cover, 68 pages; large (83MB) version available on request.

Thanks very much Blasty.
If you wanted to share your larger version I suggest uploading it to Mediafire or some such site and sharing the link here.  I can then add it as a Mirror link on the True Comics download page.

Just added Sparkling Stars #21 to the Holyoke section.  68 pages, c2c. Water damaged covers, with a GCD cover scan and JVJ info added.

A bad stapling job screwed up the gutters in the second half of the book; I should have unstapled the pages to compensate, but residual collector fetishism held me back.  I'll be braver next time.

PS: You guys are awesome--I know how much work goes into these scans. Thanks for all your generosity.

Not that it matters much, but Sparkling Stars #21 is my book; the JVJ info is from scans of all the cards.  Jim's a model for getting accurate information out there, so I'd hate for future generations to doubt the provenance of an actual JVJ book because of my scan.  :)

Sorry B, I'll correct that now.  It did seem like a awfully long time for a new JVJ book to show up from you.
I expect you sent his books back ages ago.  Sorry for the mistake but still nice to see a new scan.

Just posted in the Charlton section:

Tim McCoy #16

#16 was the first issue of the series, the numbering being continued from Zoo Funnies, then continued after Tim McCoy folded in Pictorial Love Stories.

This completes the series on DCM, except for a couple of pages in issue #19.

The Catholic Comics series is finally going in.  I'll post some thoughts about this very odd 1946-1949 title once they're all up on the site.

Despite a long-time Overstreet listing for issues #1-4, all evidence indicates that the series actually begins with #5, so the entirety of vol. 1 is now posted.

Volume 1, #5-9, 11-12 are JVJ books; #10 & 13 are mine, with JVJ info added to #13.

Catholic Comics v2 #3 is missing page 24. I should have looked at the image filenames before I verified it the hard way (by looking at art through the page). Hopefully a fix will be forthcoming.

Excellent job on these.

Impressive work Blastaar!
I updated the JVJ books with his tag at the end.

Thanks for adding the JVJ tag. Catholic v2 #3 now has the missing page added--no idea what happened there.
