Yes, perhaps distant cousins of the Borg. But not nearly as interesting as Seven of Nine....

Once again a scene from my latest upload. I really enjoyed the first story in Red Ball

Kid sidekicks and heroes from the Golden Age always seem to get a bit of grief (a few quite deservedly), so I thought I'd start rotating them as my avatar image just to give 'em a little respect. The first one I've used is Yankee Boy from Dynamic Comics #21. Not sure who I'll use next. Maybe Kitten from Catman Comics.

You guys all know so much re. American comics that I wanted to use something non-American.  And as I am dead keen on really obscure heroes, masked mystery men, etc., I picked a really obscure masked man to replace a previous just obscure hero (Ace Hart).  The Phantom Raider appeared in Coloured Slick Fun, published by Gerald G. Swan in Britain, which appeared weekly in the early '50's - as was typical here.
When the avatars disappeared on GAC, I picked the Charlton one from the great list that was supplied there.  Now, though, I'm thinking of using other obscure British and European heroes from time to time.  I fancy Black Whip, Phantom Protector, maybe Ace Hart again because he's so good, Wonderman (no, not that one). Or a few fantastic villains - Kriminal, Sadik, Fantasm.
I really get the point about kid sidekicks.

Currently mine is Lord Xeen, bad guy from a computer game called Might & Magic 5 of the early 90's. Got it as a freebie from the good folks over at GOG when I bought the game.

Yes, I know Narf. Quite a bit has happened lately. ow living with the in-laws and sans job.  :(
VERY appreciative of them letting us invade their retired life but miss the independence. Ah well! I have more time to read these great books and thought it was time for a change so said goodbye to that yellow head. It was actually a product sold by the company that fired me... >:(

I just noticed that my avatar actually matches up with July 4th weekend here in the USA.  ^-^

Figures though, since it's Yankee Boy...

My avatars come from one of my latest scans and uploads. I really like this one by Don Orehek from Zany
