And we just lost Steve Ditko. Apparently he died several days ago, and even then he hadn't been discovered for a couple days. A sad ending.
He might actually have died the same night as Ellison... That's one hell of a bad day for popular culture.

Russ Heath just died.

Oddly enough, I think my favorite story of his was "Plastic Sam" in MAD... which was his only work for EC comics proper, although he did a couple small pieces in the early Mad Magazine issues as well.

Man, I loved his Sci-Fi stories along with the "Sea Devils" series he did. I know he did work for Marvel by the way.
